Gun turret smoke : coloured and composited

Gun turret smoke : coloured and composited from Jamie Page and Vimeo.
Final version of gun turret smoke shot, fully coloured with additional animated and coloured highlights.

In this shot I did the animation, clean-up, trace, highlights, and animation colouring.

There is no-sound in this clip, otherwise the gun-fire is in sync with the animation, any comments are more than welcome.

industrial chimney smoke loop

industrial chimney smoke loop from Jamie Page and Vimeo.
A late smoke loop done in an afternoon as extra effects for the film Cyren. The shot can loop continuously.

The animation was done straight off with charcoal, the idea was to create more of a tonal feel, but due to the need for accuracy this was slightly lost.

I managed to modify the image sequence in Adobe After Effects and give it that added feel of volume, making it into the 'dirty smoke' that was required. This can be seen seen in Cyren on the main page, any comments more than welcome.

woman transforming into monster : coloured pre-composite

Woman Transformation Coloured pre-composite from Jamie Page and Vimeo.
Final coloured version of transformation. Colouring mostly done and managed by Tom Mead [director], done in Toon Boom Encore.

This is the shot as it looked before it was composited for Cyren. The fully composited version is quite different and has some added animation i did to link the main animation to the background added at a late stage.

Any comments more than welcome.

Linetest for our third year graduation film, Cyren.

Final linetest of the woman of the film once she has left the painting and gets annoyed at the sight of the lower city dwellers seeing her; She transforms into a monster. The animation took quite a lot, lot longer than the hand emerging.

After the initial motion pass was made, the animation was built up upon and developed. The hair was the last thing to be animated which then brought the animation to it's seventh pass. Again due to the method of animation clean-up was sort of merged into trace which worked as it saved a huge amount of time. I decided to put in some extra animation as i did the trace just to add some extra life into the mutation.

The clean-up test will go up soon which shows the shot a lot clearer than the rough animation test, any comments greatly appreciated.

First linetest of the woman transforming into a monster. This was the initial motion that I built the mutation up upon.
